Open Studio Hours for March 2020

**Thursday, MARCH 5 UPDATE** – And I thought yesterday’s weather was challenging! Storms are on tap all day today, so I will need to dart back and forth to tend to a nervous wee beastie doggie. I’d like to keep my sidewalk sign in one piece, so I’m just going to use today to get ready for First Friday. See you tomorrow eve!!

Open 12 noon to  4:30 p.m. most Wednesday through Fridays, but please note exceptions for the first half of this month!  On First Friday, the 6th, we’ll be open
5-8 p.m. with a fun drawing every half hour beginning at 5:30.
(I will be out of town the second week for a writers/illustrators conference.)
Happy Spring!!!
(My Etsy shop is open 24/7!)

February Open Studio Hours

Happy February! Hours are a bit limited this month – writing deadlines, an author/poet school visit, and catching up on Etsy orders! If you’re in Beaufort, DO come downtown for First Friday on the 7th from 5-8 pm. :0)

And… It’s November!

Many thanks to all who kept my shop humming for Art Walk on October 26 and First Friday on November 1! I appreciate the conversation, the encouragement, and of course – the $upport!

Last in, first out… I had just finished making this small collage with a page from an antique
book, vintage typewriter parts, and a vintage clock face, and it sold first on First Friday!

Special thanks to Anne Glaze for lending a hand for Art Walk, and for artsyletters regular Kim Poovey for all the help on First Friday.

With my partner in historical and literary mischief & artsyletters
Chief Creative Promotional Officer, Kim Poovey.
I love happy customers!!

I’m posting “Harvest to Holidays” pictures over on Instagram – Feel free to follow artsylettersgifts. And if you don’t receive my quarterly (if that!) newsletter, you can click over to the right and sign up. :0)

Thanks for reading along! And Happy Novembering…

Hobbled/Hopeful July/August Update….

Greetings! After a follow-up at the orthopedist’s office, I was able to give the crutches the boot – :0) – but I’ll be IN the boot until the end of August. I’m only able to work on a limited basis in coming weeks, but I’ve re-opened my Etsy Shop online.  (The 10 percent off no-coupon-needed sale for July is still on!) Open Studio hours will resume in earnest for fall, beginning with First Friday downtown, Sept. 6, 5-8 p.m. (For next week’s First Friday, Aug. 2, come celebrate The Beaufort Emporium‘s 3rd Birthday!! 905 Bay Street. Cupcakes and nice give-aways!! I’ll be there, happy to mingle at ground level. ;0) )

Mark your Calendar for First Friday Downtown, June 7!

The Studio will be *CLOSED* June 1-6 for family time, but we will be
OPEN for FIRST FRIDAY on June 7, 5-8 p.m..
Streets will be closed and much fun awaits! Special welcome and shopping for Dads & Dudes. See you then!
(We are at 811 Bay Street, # 3 – look for the sign on the sidewalk and trek up the stairs.)

HAPPY SPRING! Mark Your Calendars for ART WALK/First Friday, April 5!

Enjoy Spring Fling-ing in Beaufort! Our next First Friday will include ART WALK, plus entertainment, artists in action, and even pets available for adoption. Mark your calendar for April 5 from 5 pm to 8 pm, and come say hello in my artsyletters studio at 811 Bay Street #3 (upstairs).

The street will be closed, so it will be a great outing for the whole family. See you there!

Psssttt…. artsyletters is the “Spotlight Business” for First Friday, March 1!

This Friday, March 1 from 5 to 8 p.m., downtown Beaufort celebrates the 5th anniversary of FIRST FRIDAY!

Kick off March with a “Stop and Shop” evening in downtown Beaufort this week. Thanks to the hard work of many, spearheaded by Mary and Eric at Thibault Gallery, FIRST FRIDAY is celebrating its 5th anniversary. (Thibault Gallery is, too – go by and give them some love!)

I’ll be hanging out at the clock downtown with Rhonda and Bernadette from the City of Beaufort. Come by and say hello! And then go check on Jeff, who will be minding the store at my studio at 811 Bay Street upstairs, with help from the wonderful Kim Poovey. Need some “literary art with a vintage vibe”? We’ve got you covered with my handcrafted gifts for readers and writers. Many of my items are also available at The Beaufort Emporium – be sure to enjoy the unique gifts and treats you can find there, seven days a week!

Enjoy an evening of strolling, entertainment, refreshments, catching up with old friends and making new ones – and maybe a little local shopping and dining! (If it sprinkles, we won’t let it dampen our spirits. It will just help green up our beautiful town for March.) See you Friday evening!
